Step By Step Easy Nail Art For Beginners | 14 Day Manicure

Nail art is making a vibrant comeback, with everyone from teens to trendsetters flaunting their creativity. Don't know where to start? We've got you covered with some simple nail art for beginners that will allow you to hop on the wave and make your nails even trendier by embracing the hottest pop-culture crazes, like Brat Summer and the Eras Tour. If those aren't your vibe, we also have simple heart designs and dotting nail art for you to dive into the fun of!

Brat Summer Aura Nail Art

In the famous words of Charli XCX all you need for a brat summer is "a strappy white top with no bra, and aura nail art"...ok she didn't specify the nail art, that was us but anyway, it's this summer's top trend that is absolutely giving brat summer so we have yo show you how to do it!

1. Start by applying your Base Coat, cure it for 60 seconds and then apply two layers of your base shade of choice. We used shade 'Swiftie'. Cure every layer of polish you apply for 60 seconds.

2. For the aura step, you may use nail polish, or if you want to follow the TikTok trend (that's arguably more brat summer), you can use eyeshadow. We went full brat summer and used the latter method, taking a brush, knocking off the excess eyeshadow and just dabbed it on the centre of the tacky base shade layer. The aura essentially creates itself but if it doesn't expand the way you want it, just knock off the rest of the eyeshadow on the brush dab gently around the pigmented centre.

3. If you'd prefer to use nail polish for the aura, you will need to add a layer of Blooming Gel on top of your chosen base shade. Then choose the shade you want for the aura, we used shade 'Love Lock'. Take a Dotting Nail Art Pen and gently dab it with colour, then gently apply the dot to the centre of the nail and watch it expand into an aura!

4. Cure the aura nail layer for 60 seconds and then add your Top Coat layer, curing for one last time. Don't forget to add nourishing Cuticle Oil to each nail after completion.

Simple Love Heart Nail Art

There's no better place to start with nail art than by nailing the art (pardon the pun) of a simple love heart. It can take a little bit of patience to get it perfect but that's what practise is for!

1. After applying your Base Coat, chosen base shade and cured each layer for 60 seconds, take either a Dotting Nail Art Pen or the end of a pointy brush and dab it into the brush of your chosen colour. We used shade 'Girlboss'.

2. Make two symmetrical dots on the section of the nail where you'd like your heart to be.

3.  Take a Nail Art Liner Brush and drag the excess paint from each dot diagonally down into the centre of the two dots.

4. Once the bottom half of the heart has been created, start filling in the top crevasse of the heart by pulling more of that excess colour from the dots diagonally down into the rest of the heart, slowly filling it in until both sides meet.

5. If you feel that the edges look a little rough, you can lightly tidy them up with the same brush, or if you've made a mistake you can douse your brush with Acetone and rub it out in order to start again.

6. Lastly, cure the final look for 60 seconds and then apply your Top Coat, curing for one last time. Don't forget to add nourishing Cuticle Oil to each nail after completion.

Era's Tour Nail Art

Taylor Swift has taken the world by storm with the Era's Tour and we are obsessed! As a team of Swifties, it was only right that we created an Era's Tour inspired nail art design that pays tribute to all of her albums! This look will teach you how to create the aura nail look with Blooming Gel and Gel Polish.

Before we begin, here is a list of each shade used in correspondence to each album:

1. Start by applying your Base Coat, cure it for 60 seconds and then apply two layers of your base shade of choice. We used shade 'Swiftie'. Cure every layer of polish you apply for 60 seconds.

2. Apply a layer of Blooming Gel, then take a Dotting Nail Art Pen, dab it into your chosen shade and dot it in the centre of your nail. Watch the colour bloom into a perfect aura.

3. If your aura fails to bloom properly, take an Ombre Nail Art Brush and gentle spread the edges out to make it a proper aura.

4.  Lastly, cure the final look for 60 seconds and then apply your Top Coat, curing for one last time. Don't forget to add nourishing Cuticle Oil to each nail after completion.
